The Network for International Law Students (NILS) AIUB Chapter organised a Freshers’ Orientation for the Spring and Fall 2026 students on 31 August 2026 at the Multipurpose Hall of D Building, American International University Bangladesh.

The programme was held from 4:00 pm to 7:00 PM and brought together respected faculty members from the Department of Law, newly recruited members & executive members of the NILS AIUB Chapter and students from different semesters. The programme was arranged with great enthusiasm to warmly welcome the newly recruited students and introduce them to the NILS AIUB Chapter, its activities, and its role in fostering academic, legal, and co-curricular engagement.

The programme was graced by the presence of Professor Dr. Tazul Islam, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, AIUB; Associate Professor Dr. Faria Sultana, Associate Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences; Dr. Robayet Ferdous Syed, Head of the Department of Law, AIUB; and respected faculty members of the Department of Law.

The orientation began with an introductory session on NILS AIUB Chapter, highlighting its activities, objectives, and role in providing students with opportunities to participate in academic, legal, and co-curricular activities. The faculty members and guests addressed the students and shared valuable guidance on academic development, legal education, and meaningful participation in student activities. The second segment featured a cultural programme organised by the students. Various performances, including songs and dance, created a lively and engaging atmosphere and provided students with an opportunity to interact beyond the formal orientation session.

The programme also facilitated interaction among students from different semesters, as well as between the freshers, senior members, faculty members, and chapter advisors. Through the orientation, the NILS AIUB Chapter welcomed the new students and encouraged them to actively participate in its academic, legal, and co-curricular initiatives.

The event concluded with an engaging exchange among the participants, marking the beginning of the Spring and Fall 2026 freshers’ involvement with the NILS AIUB Chapter.
